The Basileus αII, newly introduced in September 2023, is the latest model that further evolves the excellent performance of the original Basileus α. This new design incorporates cutting-edge materials to meet the demands of modern golf, achieving overwhelming distance performance. In particular, to address the contemporary need for lighter weights, a lightweight 40g-class model, which was not possible with the original model, has been added to the lineup.
Basileus αII features the following characteristics:
It combines ultra-high elasticity 80t carbon fiber and PAN-based 40t throughout its entire length, with an ultra-high elasticity 70t cross-sheet placed at the tip (for 50-R/S/X, 60-S/X, Prospec60-X/70-X models).
For the 40-R2/R models, lightweight and low torque are achieved by combining an ultra-high elasticity 80t hybrid sheet with an ultra-high elasticity 70t cross-sheet at the tip.
For the 40-S model, a PAN-based 50t sheet is used to achieve an optimal balance of lightweight, hardness, and strength.
Each model offers an optimal lineup through a material distribution tailored to the target golfer. The low-torque design ensures stable, unwavering performance, providing high rigidity from the grip to the mid-section and an explosive burst from the mid-section to the tip. This also makes it suitable for hard-swingers who prioritize stable hand movement and a strong kick at the tip.
