The FIRE EXPRESS S concept GG FW is a fairway wood specific shaft developed by reevaluating conventional wisdom for players with a head speed of 40m/s or less, who make up the majority of golfers.
Generally, shafts for golfers with slower head speeds are designed to prioritize ease of catching the ball and a high trajectory, which can often lead to issues such as hooks, ballooning shots, and loss of distance.
The GG FW directly addresses these challenges by adopting a design that, while being a "run-type" shaft, suppresses tip behavior. This prevents excessive face rotation at impact and allows the face to come in squarely, significantly improving both direction and consistency.
The mid-trajectory design provides a good balance between carry and roll, ensuring solid roll with a powerful descent angle. It achieves the high-level performance of "stable, forward distance" required in fairway woods.
