Fujikura's latest creation, the Speeder SLK Type-D, is an innovative golf shaft that sets a new standard for short-length shafts and adds even greater distance performance. While the SLK series boasts high smash factor and straightness, which are popular among many golfers, the Type-D further enhances these excellent characteristics with improved distance. Despite being designed an inch shorter than typical shafts, it maintains a similar balance.

The Speeder SLK Type-D achieves low torque by bias-laminating high-modulus materials, including ultra-high modulus "90t carbon." This improves stability at impact, leading to increased distance. Additionally, multiple layers of Toray's high-strength, high-modulus carbon "TORAYCA T1100G" are layered at the tip, providing excellent tip stiffness and strength.

Furthermore, the adoption of Metal Composite Technology solves the issues of shortening the shaft and club balance. This composite technology of carbon and metal achieves an excellent swing balance. Multi-hoop ply lamination technology is also employed, where multiple hoop layers are laminated throughout the entire length of the shaft to suppress shaft deformation and allow for a supple swing.

Compared to the SLK and EVOLUTION series, the Speeder SLK Type-D pursues even lower torque by bias-laminating high-modulus carbon throughout the entire shaft.
