Fujikura's latest creation, the Speeder SLK Type-D, is an innovative golf shaft that sets a new standard for short-length shafts and adds even more distance performance. The SLK series boasts high smash factor and straightness, which are popular among many golfers, but with the Type-D, Fujikura has further enhanced these excellent characteristics with added distance performance. Despite being designed one inch shorter than a typical shaft, it maintains a similar balance.

The Speeder SLK Type-D achieves low torque by bias-laminating high-modulus materials, including ultra-high modulus "90t carbon." This improves stability during impact, leading to increased distance. Furthermore, by laminating multiple layers of Toray's high-strength, high-modulus carbon "Torayca T1100G" at the tip, it provides excellent tip rigidity and strength.

Additionally, the adoption of Metal Composite Technology solves the problems of shorter length and club balance. This composite technology of carbon and metal achieves excellent swing balance. Multi-hoop ply lamination technology is also employed, with multiple hoop layers laminated throughout the entire length of the shaft to suppress shaft deformation and allow for a supple swing.

Compared to the SLK and EVOLUTION series, the Speeder SLK Type-D pursues even lower torque by bias-laminating high-modulus carbon throughout the entire shaft.
