A notable feature is the adoption of the "Category System," a new standard that numerically expresses flexibility (stiffness) and kick point in an integrated manner. Lower numbers (Category 1-5) indicate a softer tip and lower kick point, while higher numbers indicate a stiffer tip and higher kick point. This system allows golfers to choose the optimal specifications without being influenced by traditional labels like "S" or "R."
