A notable feature is the adoption of the "Category System." This new standard quantitatively expresses flex and kick point together. Lower numbers from Category 1 to 5 indicate softer flex and a tip-heavy balance, while higher numbers indicate stiffer flex and a butt-heavy balance. This system allows golfers to choose the right specifications without preconceptions based on traditional designations like "S" or "R."
