The "DERAMAX 07 Premium (Blue Dera)" presented by Olympic Golf is an innovative shaft that retains the "fast snap-back" characteristic cultivated in the Red Dera (020 series) while newly incorporating mid-butt stiffness properties. It was finally completed under professional supervision in response to many golfers' requests for "a butt-stiff model with the same excellent repulsion as the Red Dera!"
Its main feature is the adoption of tough boron fibers, also used in fishing rods, at the butt end. This increases butt stiffness and achieves a "counter-balance design" that shifts the balance closer to the grip. This smooths out the transition during the swing, making timing easier and creating a stable clubhead path.
While butt-stiff designs are generally considered "for advanced players," the 07 Premium is different. Its fast snap-back provides a natural feeling of the clubhead accelerating, leading to improved clubhead speed and impact efficiency.
