OLYMPIC's "DERAMAX 07 Premium (Blue Dera)" is an innovative shaft that incorporates a mid-kick point characteristic while retaining the "fast snap-back" feature cultivated in the Red Dera (020 series). It was finally completed under the supervision of professionals, in response to the many golfers who expressed a desire for "a tip-stiff model with the same excellent repulsion as the Red Dera!"
Its main feature is the adoption of tough boron fibers, also used in fishing rods, in the butt section. This increases the rigidity of the butt section and enables a "counterbalance design" that shifts the balance closer to the grip. This smooths out the transition during the swing, making it easier to time and creating a stable head path.
While tip-stiff designs are generally considered "for advanced players," the 07 Premium is different. Its fast snap-back provides a natural feeling of the head accelerating, leading to improved head speed and contact ratio. It contributes to increased distance and stable directionality, regardless of swing type or skill level.
The balance between hardness and torque is optimized for each weight range, providing a superb feel across all specs. It is a new generation all-rounder premium shaft recommended even for those trying a tip-stiff shaft for the first time.
