The "DERAMAX 07 Premium (Ao-Dera)" from OLYMPIC is an innovative shaft that takes the "fast whip-back" strength cultivated in the Red-Dera (020 series) and incorporates a new mid-to-butt kick point characteristic. It was finally completed under the supervision of professionals, in response to requests from many golfers who wanted a butt-kick point model with the same excellent repulsion as the Red-Dera.
Its greatest feature is the adoption of tough boron fibers, also used in fishing rods, at the butt end. This increases butt rigidity and achieves a "counterbalance design" that shifts the balance closer to the hands. This allows for a smoother transition during the swing, making it easier to time and creating a stable clubhead path.
While butt-kick point designs are generally considered "for advanced players," the 07 Premium is different. Its fast whip-back provides a natural sensation of the clubhead accelerating, leading to improved head speed and impact ratio. It contributes to increased distance and stable directionality, regardless of swing type or skill level.
The balance of hardness and torque is also optimized for each weight class, providing an exquisite feel across all specifications. It is a new-generation, versatile premium shaft that can be recommended even to those trying a butt-kick point for the first time.
