The "DERAMAX 07 Premium (Ao-Dera)" from OLYMPIC is an innovative shaft that incorporates new mid-low kick point characteristics while retaining the fast snap-back speed developed in the Aka-Dera (020 series). It was finally completed under professional supervision in response to many golfers' requests for "a mid-low kick point model with the same excellent repulsion as the Aka-Dera!"
Its most significant feature is the use of robust boron fiber, also used in fishing rods, in the grip section. This increases the rigidity of the grip and enables a "counterbalance design" that shifts the balance closer to the grip. This makes the transition during the swing smoother, making it easier to time and creating a stable clubhead path.
While mid-low kick point designs are generally considered "for advanced players," the 07 Premium is different. Its fast snap-back speed naturally provides a feeling of the clubhead accelerating, leading to improved clubhead speed and smash factor. It contributes to increased distance and stable directionality, regardless of swing type or skill level.
