True Temper AMT TOUR WHITE wedge shafts are designed based on Ascending Mass Technology. This technology is engineered to increase weight in 3-gram increments throughout the set, enabling a consistent swing from long irons to short wedges. This provides stable performance regardless of the club number.
AMT TOUR WHITE is adjusted to match the balance point of Dynamic Gold, ensuring consistent swing weight. This makes play with each club smoother and improves swing stability. In addition, the AMT series offers three flexes (R, S, X) to suit all golfers, allowing for optimal selection based on individual head speed.
The recommended head speeds are 35-42m/s for R flex, 40-48m/s for S flex, and 46m/s or more for X flex, accommodating a wide range of golfers. Players of any level can achieve ideal shots with a shaft that suits them.
<PRGR Iron Strongest Combo>
An "iron combo set" simply refers to a club setup that combines different models of irons within a single set.
In the past, it was common to have "the same model from 5-iron to PW," but in recent years, among tour professionals, the trend has been to use
"easy-to-hit long to mid-irons, and short irons prioritizing workability."
1. Why are "combo sets" popular?
There are two main reasons.
These are "the evolution of ball performance" and "changes in green conditions."
Increased difficulty of long irons
Modern golf balls are evolving towards reduced spin to enhance distance performance.
As a result, with conventional muscle-back (01 series) long irons, even professional head speeds struggle to get the ball airborne, and there are increasing cases where lack of spin makes it difficult to hold the green.
Shift in role from "distance" to "stopping"
For professionals, long irons (4-5 iron) are not just clubs for gaining distance.
They are clubs designed to aim for the pin with a high trajectory and stop firmly on the green.
Therefore, for long to mid-irons,
there is a growing trend to combine highly forgiving models with thicker soles or hollow structures.
2. If building with PRGR? Recommended Combos
PRGR's 01-02 series is actually a lineup that makes combo settings very easy to assemble.
Classic Athlete Combo: 01 × 02
・4-6 iron: 02 IRON (easy to hit for high trajectory and distance)
・7 iron-PW: 01 IRON (prioritizing workability and feel)
Points
Since the 7-iron of the 01 (loft 32°) is combined with the 6-iron of the 02 (28°),
the loft progression is natural, and a combo setting with minimal difference in feel and no discomfort is possible.
