UST Mamiya's latest release, the "LIN-Q RED EX," is a driver shaft designed for smooth swings and powerful ball flight, featuring a mid-kick point design. Unlike the conventional "LIN-Q BLUE" and "LIN-Q WHITE" models, this shaft has a slightly stiffer butt section and a slightly softer tip section, which moderately suppresses spin and achieves powerful, stable shots.
The most significant feature of this model is the inclusion of UST Mamiya's proprietary "Q・Ply Core technology." This technology maximizes the shaft's flex during the swing while effectively transferring energy to the ball at impact. Furthermore, by combining high-performance carbon materials like Torayca T1100G and M40X, it suppresses lateral movement, ensuring stable distance and direction.
The shaft is available in a wide range of weights: '5 (R, S, X),' '6 (S, X),' and '7 (S, X),' allowing you to choose the optimal specifications for your swing. The '5S' in particular, with a weight of 59g and torque of 3.6°, is a well-balanced specification that produces the smooth flex and strong ball flight characteristic of a mid-kick point shaft.
